Travelling

Travelling is like recharging your soul,no matter a trip to Ooty or Paris is always fun and excitement. Many people prefer to take a break from their routine life by travelling to unexplored places. I love travelling and wish to, i guess the interest in me developed since my childhood my parents take me to many place. And am happy and lucky that my better half is also a true explorer like me.This April month I would be travelling to many places as there are many holidays. As I thought to blog about travelling, my mind said why not give some tips to fellow explorers. By the time, some people may think who is she to give tips or its just a cut copy from searching GOOGLE database. Then its definitely wrong, its truly based on my ideas and experience.

When you start planning a trip, make a list like,
1.No of days
2.Budget
3.Best Season to visit
4.Availability

These are priorities to keep in mind before you search in Google. Most importantly plan a best place and with whom you are travelling with (friends or family). Some may think why I made a point, best season to visit. I had an experience when I visited Berlin during winter where the whole city was covered with snow(like a white carpet),wondered how the city would look in the normal days. Though we explored many places, low degrees were shivering us from hanging outside. And another season which you should avoid is rainy season.

Searching for a accommodation is another big work I guess, though many online searches are there where you need not call them to look for availability. Its always best to read the reviews of the hotel before you book them.

Mode of transportation is equally important and we always prefer by car or train. If you plan for flights, look for the good deals available round the year, there are some airlines offer good deals along with hotel booking. If you prefer by car, don't forget to carry maps or GPS Navigation system. Early days we used to buy maps but now GPS in mobile or GARMIN makes it very simple and easy. Preferably don't forget your charger at any cost. Always carry a hard copy of your map.Memories may fade sometimes but photos will bring back the memories. So don't forget to carry your best camera before you leave.

Food is not a big problem while travelling in India, but after coming abroad it becomes hard to manage with breads, pasta and burgers...oooh..i always prefer to carry a bunch of Maggi Noodles and puliogare as many hotels offer self catering facilities. And if you are travelling with babies or kids then you have to be extra prepared to manage food. Always make a list a day if you are going for a long tours because I always miss something and finally remember when I land up in new place. I guess I listed most of the points,so friends take a trip from your big hectic schedule and spend a valuable time with friends and families. You can share your travelling experience in this blog.

Happy Travelling

Books

Books have been my best companion in all different stages of my life. A Book makes you imagine, laugh, cry, think, love, learn just like a friend. Wondering why giving a big essay on Books, this topic is about the books I have read. Am sorry if you are not a reader, you can very well leave this post (person who don't have patience to read books, could not really read this post coz its all about books). And ya..don't think am a great or fast reader, coz only few books keeps occupied.I try to read famous books, but dono why sometimes it goes half done .And interesting thing which I explored myself is, am not a prolonged reader and I always need a break after every books(exploring myself still continues..ha tats a diff topic..i don’t want to divert the topic, lets get back).

I can very well remember my first book “chandamama or ambulimama” which is moral short story series and 'Tinku comic book' during my early school days. Obviously later,i was only occupied with subject books. I tried to read other kinds of books in our school library(specially to improve English vocabulary),but it went in vain.

Coming to my college days, I started reading all series of “Sidney Sheldon”(murder mystery novel). And who could miss “Mills and boon”(a single book which keeps circulating in our college hostel).I like reading Tamil novels too and among the authors I loved 'Ramanichandran', 'Sujatha' and 'Balakumaran' and other few authors I dont remember the names.

In my twenties or after my marriage, I read “Dan brown” books (such a good author, make us forget to eat, sleep and makes you sit idle without talking to anyone till you finish that book). His books also famous for his controversial discussions and hidden truth about Christianity. Then i also enjoyed reading "chetan bhagat" books, even though you miss to read his book, you can very well watch it as a movie.

And here comes our hero of all historic books I could say, because I wondered why I missed reading his books all these years. Its none other than “KALKI” Books,if you don't know to read Tamil please you can very well try English version, he is such a great author who can take you to the past historical days. He is really a great legend. I don't have words to express gratitude for having such a gifted author. Each and every book is special and different,so my dear friends you can very well enjoy reading his books.

At present, am reading “Mahatma Gandhiji's Autobiography” and I finished his first part, meanwhile taking a break to continue second part. Its such a genuine autobiography,if you haven't read his book then its a shock or surprise to see his another face which he admitted without any hesitation.

I guess I covered most of the books I read and you can also voice out your opinion or best book which really impressed you.

Srilankan Civil War

Today I was passing on the news channel, one of the most dreadful news which pierce my heart is about Sri Lankan Civil war. Though some news really affects us but this war which I have been witnessing since my school and college days was really painful. As I was watching the videos and pictures in the war crime affected areas in the YouTube, tears just rolled up from my eyes (am a soft hearted person). Being in the neighbouring country and as a Tamilians could not witness seeing hundreds and hundreds of innocent civilians died out of war… Shame on us..This is really against humanity.

Anyone with stone hearted can only do such terrible things like bombing in NO FIRE ZONE and shooting numerous people in half and full naked, sexual abuse, thousands of dead bodies collecting every day,  many people who are wounded suffered from inefficient medicines. Can’t you believe war  in this century, like first and second world war, many people were mercilessly killed. Though the war is between LTTE and Srilankan Army, but what innocent civilians did? and is it wise to kill few LTTE’s targeting thousands of civilians. Mr.Mahinda Rajapaksa – a heartless creature who have been behind the scenario.

Those who are not aware or not having knowledge what exactly was going on, can refer to the below topics.

How it started

For many years Tamil people or Tamils were migrated to Srilanka and they started their life.In1912, Sinhalese and Tamils were equally populated and they were ruled by British government. Later slowly problem started when government were taken over by Srilankan, they stated official language as ‘Sinhala’. Following which Tamils began to demand that they need a separate independent state as ‘Tamil Eelam’. Meanwhile secretly a new group was originated as ‘Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam’ which is shortly called as LTTE. Later ‘Velupillai Prabakaran’ became the chief of LTTE, he gathered many young youths to strengthen the party. In 1987,India became actively involved in the operation, during this period “Rajiv Gandhi “ was our Prime Minister. And he started (IPKF)Indian Peace Keeping Force but Prabakaran was not convinced and never accepted to surrender the troops.

Due to insecurity, Rajiv Gandhi was assassinated by LTTE. Guess, thats the reason why still Indian Government keeping silent while all the other countries support peace keeping and rescuing Tamils Out of the War. Many still blame Sonia Gandhi for that reason. The War period from July1983-till May 2009, one of the painful written history.
Am happy that many countries like USA and Europe look into consideration and do
necessary steps for the recovery and i beg India to give support.I neither support Prabakaran nor Sri lankan Army, worry more about the people.

Is Nature a Wonder or Disaster?

I love to blog about n number of topics but sometimes i don't find words to bring out my thoughts and its possible to google out about that particular topic but I feel I may miss my individuality. Today am in mood to discuss about nature and how it affects living creatures. Though am not a good writer, please bare my writings and correct me if I had made any mistakes.

Too much of anything is good for nothing, likewise if its too hot or too cold then it becomes hard. Am a nature loving person, yes i admit i love to watch moving clouds or different shapes of clouds, different shades of sky (especially sunset or sunrise),High rise sea waves, colors of sea water, shades of trees and their leaf, different kinds of flowers and the list goes on...how wonderful isn't it.

But when the nature aggravates such as Earthquake, Hurricane, Volcanic eruptions,
Famines,Tsunami,Flood,Tornado,Drought,Fire...etc...like they say in south India “Panjabootham” (which preserves us) which is nothing but Earth,Air,Water,Fire and Space..oh my heart really bleeds when natural disasters occur and how every living beings are affected. When I was a small kid, I worry about birds and animals while heavy rain. Nobody can stop mother nature, and some monsters harm nature in the name of money. In today's world, everybody can witness how it affects the climatic conditions all over the earth.

Wondering why am talking all these stuffs....it has been raining here since 2 days and all thoughts came into my mind..i can't stop expressing my views in my blog. Am really lucky to enjoy nature sitting near my window watching dark clouds and crystal drops drizzling without worrying about anything. And I wonder how it affects mood of a person when the climate is dull, you don't feel like doing any work and if its a sunshine day, then day begins with brisk and energetic. I guess that's the reason why people take vacation to a nature's place to refresh his mind.

I guess I can more enjoy with a cup of hot coffee..meanwhile why don't u guys enjoy reading my blog and don't forget to give me a feedback to improve my writing.
